Parish Administration

Parish Office

The Parish Office is open each weekday morning from 9.00am till 12.00 noon. It is the administrative centre of the Parish and the hub of communication.

You may download our PDF Icon welcome booklet (255kb) which contains information about our Parish.

Many parishioners use the office as a drop-in point for information to and from the clergy and usually both the Rector’s Secretary and the Parish Administrator are there to help in any way.

Vestry Hour

Vestry Hour is held at Holy Trinity Parish Centre and St Columba every Wednesday between 6.15pm and 7.15pm.
At Holy Trinity church a team of lay people staff the Parish Office/Lounge for each Vestry Hour session. Apart from the necessary documentation, this gives an excellent opportunity to welcome and meet with those people enquiring about Marriage and Baptism.

The Parish Magazine

The parish magazine (called Connection) comes out once a month on the last Sunday. Each issue usually has a different theme related to our Christian life with contributions from members of our congregations. It also includes information about what’s on, news about activities, house groups, special events and about the other parishes in our Deanery. A small editorial group meet once a month to plan the next month’s magazine. Please pass information or articles to the Editorial Team via the parish office.

Stewardship

Stewardship Envelopes

This is a Stewardship parish. We regularly give to God, through the Church, a certain amount of our money, our time and our talents.

You can find out more by picking up a Welcome Pack in church which contains a special sheet about ways of giving money: the rest of the pack will suggest some of the ways you can use both your time and talents for God through His Church. You might want to suggest others....

Holy Trinity Baptism Group

The Baptism Group is a small group of committed people who have taken on the responsibilities of attending monthly baptism preparations (on a rota) in the Parish Centre, of supporting and getting to know the families of the children who are to be baptised, and also of attending the baptism.

The group is also responsible for sending a card, or sometimes a small book, on the anniversary of the baptism for the following five years. The members of the group see themselves as an important link between the congregation and the baptism families and a ‘friendly face’ when they join us for worship on a Sunday.
