As of 7th September 2003 there was a change in the services at St Columba.
On the 1st Sunday of each month, the main morning service is called Community Praise and takes place at 10.00am (this replaces the 9.30 Holy Communion).
The service is led by teams of predominantly lay people, as well as including contributions from the members of the congregation who help prepare the worship. One of the features of this service is to include both greater opportunities to learn about the Christian faith and worship God with a variety of music both old and new with choir, organ and the music group. The service lasts about 45 minutes, so although starting later it finishes almost at the same time as the normal Holy Communion service.
Coffee and tea is served afterwards in the hall as normal.
The Parade Service with Uniformed Organisations now takes place on the 3rd Sunday at the regular time of 9.3Oam. No other services are altered in any way.
If you have any questions, please see any member of the St Columba Worship and Church Life Group, clergy or churchwardens.
