First Communion Course
I really enjoyed making new friends from both churches on the Communion Course. There were thirteen of us and the youngest was seven and the oldest eleven. We took part in seven different sessions that helped us learn about Holy Communion. At the first session we had fun with a parachute, getting to know each other. I really enjoyed the food tasting session! We made our own prayer cubes and decorated a table cloth that was used in church. I met my prayer partner, Richard Kinsman, who has been praying for me throughout the course, he was really friendly (and very tall). On Easter Sunday my brother, Bruce, and I took the bread and wine for the first time. I was nervous but excited at the same time. It felt very special and now I feel that I belong to the church.
