The Well is a Christian centre in West Street, Fareham combining a coffee shop with a bookshop.
It arose out of a Churches Together Lent course "Called to be One" which looked at ways the various churches could co-operate and express their sense of unity.
The Well is a visible sign of unity because it does not belong to any particular denomination, but to all the churches under the auspices of Churches Together in Fareham.
The focus of The Well is threefold:-
Not as an end in itself but as a means of being self-supporting, providing a service to the local community and promoting fair trade.
Building links between the various denominations and demonstrating a sense of unity to the people of Fareham.
Sharing the love of Jesus in word and action, with everyone who comes into contact with The Well. Visit The Well for a coffee, a light meal, Christian books and greetings cards, other Traidcraft goods and companionship.
